The information depends on how you interact with Cedar. This website does not offer an on-site intake form and does not collect consultation or payment details through a Cedar-hosted form. Please do not put confidential documents or sensitive matter information in an initial email, scheduling response, WhatsApp message, or website URL.

Cedar uses information to deliver and secure the website, answer inquiries, assess whether it can respond to or consider a potential matter, arrange consultations, communicate about an appointment or requested service, maintain records, comply with legal and professional duties, and protect the firm and others from misuse or fraud.

When enabled, Umami helps Cedar understand website use and performance and improve content and navigation. Cedar's custom analytics events use limited, allowlisted context; they do not send form values, visible labels, URL query strings or hashes, names, email addresses, phone numbers, booking details, consultation details, or document contents. Automatic Umami pageviews exclude query strings and hashes, and its tracker respects a browser's Do Not Track setting.

Cedar may send marketing email, including to people who have made an inquiry, only where applicable law permits. An inquiry or booking alone is not treated as consent when consent is required. Marketing messages are distinct from scheduling confirmations, responses to your request, and communications about a service or matter.

Cedar uses Vercel to host and deliver the website, Calendly to provide the linked scheduling page, Brevo to manage and send marketing email, and email and telecommunications providers to communicate. Umami Cloud receives analytics information only when Cedar configures its website ID. WhatsApp receives information only if that channel is configured and you choose to use it. These providers may process information to provide their services and, where applicable, for their own operations under their notices.

Cedar may disclose information to professional advisers or other parties when reasonably necessary to evaluate an inquiry, protect rights and security, comply with law or a valid legal process, or carry out a representation you separately authorize. Cedar may also disclose information as part of a business transition, subject to applicable legal and professional duties. This notice does not authorize disclosure that would violate duties owed to a client or prospective client.

Umami analytics is inactive unless Cedar configures it. When active, its tracking code does not set cookies and honors browser Do Not Track. Your browser may still send ordinary requests to Cedar's host, and hosting or security logs may be created even if Do Not Track is enabled. You can also limit website technologies through your browser settings, although some settings may affect site behavior.

Cedar does not track your activity across unrelated websites for advertising. A third-party destination you choose, such as Calendly or WhatsApp, may use its own cookies or other technologies under its own notice. Cedar's website stores a theme preference locally so it can remember your display choice.

Cedar keeps information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was received and for applicable legal, professional, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution obligations. The period depends on the type of information and whether an inquiry becomes a representation. Inquiry and scheduling records may be retained to respond, assess conflicts, document communications, and meet professional duties. Website logs and analytics are kept while useful for security and site improvement. Marketing contact information is kept while Cedar may lawfully send marketing; a limited opt-out record may be retained afterward.

When information is no longer needed, Cedar deletes, de-identifies, or securely disposes of it as appropriate, subject to applicable obligations and practical backup cycles. Third-party providers may retain their own records under their policies. You may contact Cedar for more information about retention relevant to your data.

Cedar is based in the United States. Cedar and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy protections can differ across countries. Where a law governing your information requires a safeguard for a cross-border transfer, Cedar will address that requirement as applicable. This website is intended for people seeking information about legal services and is not directed to children under 13. Cedar does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through this website without appropriate authorization.
