Know whom the lawyer represents
Cedar represents the person or organization identified in the engagement agreement. In employer-sponsored matters, the employer is often the client and the beneficiary is not. Their interests may differ when employment, portability, job duties, sponsorship, or termination changes. Cedar will state the representation and communication boundaries at the beginning of the engagement.

A filing connected to a longer employment decision
The role, company structure, candidate's record, current work authorization, and future plans affect which route is available and what evidence the organization must provide. Cedar analyzes those dependencies together.
